    We start with an initial consultation to understand your brand, goals, and design preferences. Using this information, a selection of suitable Squarespace templates are provided for your selection. The design process includes creating a visually appealing layout, incorporating your brand colours, fonts, and imagery, as well as ensuring the site is user-friendly, with intuitive navigation and a clear call-to-action to engage visitors.

    1. SEO and Performance Optimization:

    Alongside the design is optimisation of your website for search engines. This includes setting up meta descriptions, title tags, and alt text for images. In addition, I ensure your site structure supports SEO best practices, enhancing your visibility on Google, as well as ensuring your site loads quickly and is fully responsive, providing a seamless experience for users across mobile and desktop devices.

    1. Important to Note

    The website design service does not include actual designing of brand assets, including logos or fonts etc. Why? Coz I'm not a designer (although I do have an eye for design and colour). In terms of colour schemes, Squarespace has a range of palettes that can be used on any template and I can make minor adjustments that suit your brand, which is totally fine for many soloprenuers who are just starting out. That said, I can work with a designer as part of the web build, or point you in the right direction to get started.

    • Domain Access: Access to your domain registrar to connect your domain to the new Squarespace website.

    • Content and Branding Assets: Text, images, logos, and any other branding materials that will be used on the website.

    • Google Analytics and Search Console Access: To integrate these tools with your new website for ongoing performance tracking and SEO improvements.

    Pricing for websites typically includes design + development of a 5 page website (based on Squarespace pre-designed templates only at this time), SEO features including site structure, targeted keywords and some content creation, with cost varying based on complexity, features and the level of SEO and content required.

  2. I'll come back to you with a strategy outline, plus all the nitty gritty including investment amount.

  3. If you are happy to proceed, I’ll send you an initial invoice, which will need to be processed before work commences. Depending on the scope of the project, we can arrange flexible payment options.

  4. Then I need existing content, brand assets and tech access (if you have it), including domain, Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

  5. I get to work (play) and build a draft website and content structure plan and provide up to 3 suitable Squarespace templates to use for customisation.

  6. Your customised and SEO-optimised website is then created using brand assets and content you have provided and we schedule a 30-min follow-up call so you can ask all the questions.

  7. Delivery timeframe: typically 4-6 weeks depending on website size and scope.
